IGS Seminar To Focus on Records Access

The Indiana Genealogical Society will hold a Society Management Seminar on Friday, September 25, 2009 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm at the Plainfield Public Library in central Indiana. Among the speakers: Heather Neal, Indiana Public Records Counselor, will talk about access to Indiana's public records; Curt Witcher from Allen County Public Library will talk about how to preserve local records, and Hendricks County Clerk Cindy Spence will discuss the role of county clerks as keepers of local records.

Pre-registration is encouraged, as seating is limited. Registration is free for all those who are members of an IGS chapter or an appointed Indiana County Genealogist; otherwise, registration is $5 ($7 at the door).
