Query: Hinds, Adams County, Indiana

Hines or Hinds:  (cannot prove or disprove a relationship to Daniel Hines family)// Moses (born in PA), David and Christina Heavlin Hinds (both born in OH) listed in 1860 census as residing in Salem, Blue Creek Twp., Adams County, IN.
Moses was to have died about 1860.  Sold his land to his son David prior to his death.  David believed to have died abt 1861. Have no idea what happened to Christina (they were married in 1853 in IN). She sold the land in abt 1865.  Thought to have been buried in Tricker Cem, but can find no evidence via online reference material.  Apparently there was a confirmation of David's burial in Tricker via a letter ca. 1950, but I do not have this letter.
I've gone thru your on-line material to no avail.  Any ideas on where to look next ?  (I did not see any appointed genealogists for Adams County on your list). Any info, help, or advice you can offer is appreciated.  Thank you.

Query: William Bowden Lyons, New Albany and Gosport, IN

My Great Grandfather, William Bowden Lyons, was born in New Albany, IN. in 1841. He was raised there and enlisted in the Union Army at the outbreak of the Civil War and served until his regiment (59th Indiana Infantry) was dissolved in July, 1865 in Louisville, KY. He returned to New Albany, then moved to Gosport per the Federal Census of 1870. He was a railroader since 1860 and returned to that occupation after the War.
He had moved to El Dorado, Kansas, by 1880 per that year's Federal census, then to Sedalia, Missouri. There is a family story that he participated in the 1890 GAR National Encampment in St. Louis in 1890. There was also a GAR honor guard when he died in Colorado (visiting his daughter) to take him back to Sedalia in 1899.
I am trying to locate some proof that he was active in the GAR. He sometimes went by "W.B. Lyons"

Thank you for your help

Query: Meek, Worland, Thomas, Brooks; Shelby County

Looking for information on a Letcher Meek, B. Dec. 25, 1904 or 1906.  Son of Lawrence Bennett Meek and Caladonia Meek (nee Thrasher, nee Thomas), married to Dorothy Mae Worland or Goldie (Golda?) Mae Brooks.

I believe there may have been two individuals named Letcher Meek in the Shelby County area as I have conflicting information that shows Letcher Meek being in the Indiana State Prison North from 1936 to being sentenced to life in 1956, while also having city directories and a marriage application to Dorothy Mae Worland showing Letcher Meek living in Shelbyville.  Source: http://www.indianadigitalarchives.org/
