Society of Indiana Archivists To Hold Photo Digitizing Workshop

The Society of Indiana Archivists invites you to their fall workshop, "Digitizing Photographic Collections," on Friday, October 5 at the Indiana State Library in Indianapolis. This one-day workshop will be held from 9 am to 4 pm and will show you the basics of creating and maintaining a digital collection of photos. Presented by Joan Hostetler and John Harris (owners of Heritage Photo & Research Services), topics will include how to decide if scanning is right for your photo collection, equipment & preservation, and funding sources.

This workshop is geared towards anyone who managing a photo collection at archives, librarians, museums or societies and has been approved for LEUs by the Indiana State Library, as well as Archival Recertification Credits by the Academy of Certified Archivists.
