IGS Adds Civilian Conservation Corps Rosters for Madison County & St. Joseph County

The Indiana Genealogical Society has added Civilian Conservation Corps rosters for Madison County and St. Joseph County to the County Records section of our Members Only area:

--Roster of Civilian Conservation Corps, Frankton, Madison County, Indiana (1938)
--Roster of Civilian Conservation Corps, South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana (1938)

The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a New Deal employment program that operated from 1933 to 1942. The aim, besides work relief, was to promote tree planting, park construction, flood control, forest fire prevention and similar environmental tasks. The United States and Indiana had numerous CCC companies.

These are premium databases, accessible only to IGS members.

The Indiana Genealogical Society now has 921 databases in the Members Only area. Each of Indiana's 92 counties has at least 3 databases.
