FamilySearch Adds Digital Images + 3 More Counties to Indiana Marriage Index

FamilySearch has made a major update to the Indiana marriage index 1811-1959 that is in progress. More than 1.5 million digital images of marriage records have been linked to entries that were already in the index. Entries from 3 more counties have been added to the index: Orange County, Parke County and St. Joseph County. The index now includes 49 of Indiana's 92 counties.

There are browseable images available for 12 additional counties that have not yet been indexed: Perry County, Pike County, Porter County, Pulaski County, Putnam County, Scott County, Shelby County, Spencer County, Starke County, Switzerland County, Tipton County and Vermillion County.

Much thanks to everyone at FamilySearch, Indiana government officials and Indiana Genealogical Society folks who worked together to make the digital images a reality.
