My family was located in Dekalb County Indiana from around 1838 to about 1844.
Riley JACOBS ran for some political positions of the times and held several appointed positions. His brother Levi (My ggg-grandfather) JACOBS was in the census there also, his father Aarton Clark JACOBS was also in Iniana, but I do not know where. I do know he was in the War of 1812, in 1813 in New York.
