IGS Adds Databases to Members-Only

The Indiana Genealogical Society has added several databases to the Members Only area of its website:

College Records
--Graduates of School of Nursing of Wishard Hospital, Indianapolis (1885-1980)--a database compiled by Ron Darrah from a card file at the Indiana State Archives. Wishard Hospital is the oldest hospital in Indiana, and their School of Nursing (though not in existence today) was the first school of that type in the state.

--Students of Purdue University, West Lafayette (1918)--a listing of seniors as found in the Debris yearbook for 1918. This database also includes photos of the students and biographical information.

County Records
--Students of Sabbath School Union Society, Indianapolis (1826)--a listing of students from early in Marion County's history, as found by Ron Darrah in a manuscript collection at the Indiana State Library.

--Students of Muncie Central High School, Muncie (1955-1957)--a listing of the sophomores, juniors and seniors at one of Delaware County's largest schools, as found in its 1955 yearbook. This database was contributed by Shirley Richison Fields and is part of IGS' 2 for 92 Project.

Military Records
--Roster of 86th Indiana Volunteer Infantry in the Civil War (1861-1865)--a detailed listing of each soldier's service, as found in a regimental history.

Miscellaneous Records
--Lawyers in Indiana State Bar Association (1911)--a listing of all members of the State Bar in 1911. This database also includes memorials for members who had died within the year.

These are all premium databases, accessible only to IGS members. To date, the Indiana Genealogical Society has added 120 databases to its website. More databases will be added over time.
