IGS Adds Databases To Members-Only

The Indiana Genealogical Society has added more databases to the Members Only area of its website:

College Records
--Students of Purdue University, West Lafayette (1929)--a listing of the students in the class of 1929 only, as found in a 1929 yearbook.

County Records
--Directory of Businesses in Franklin County, Indiana (1868)--a listing of business owners in various towns in Franklin County, as found in a railroad and shipping directory for the state.

--Directory of Businesses in Jennings County, Indiana (1868)--a listing of business owners in various towns in Jennings County, as found in a railroad and shipping directory for the state.

--Directory of Businesses in Sullivan County, Indiana (1868)--a listing of business owners in various towns in Sullivan County, as found in a railroad and shipping directory for the state.

NOTE: These databases were submitted as part of the 2 for 92 Project, where IGS is committed to adding at least 2 databases for each of Indiana's 92 counties.

Military Records
--Public Service Company of Indiana Employees Serving in World War II (1943)--a listing of employees, as found in a local newspaper.

NOTE: Public Service Company of Indiana was a utility company with headquarters in Plainfield, Columbus, Terre Haute and Kokomo. It later changed its name to PSI Energy.

Miscellaneous Records
--Students at Indiana School For The Deaf, Indianapolis (1858)--a listing of the students who were enrolled from November 1857 to November 1858, as found in an annual report on the school.

These are premium databases, accessible only to IGS members. The Indiana Genealogical Society has 318 databases in the Members Only area, covering 70 Indiana counties. More databases will be added over time.
