African American Group To Hold Conference In Indianapolis

The Indiana African American Genealogy Group will hold their 2010 Annual Conference on Saturday, October 16 from 9 am to 4:30 pm at the Eiteljorg Museum in Indianapolis. The featured speakers will be: Reginald Washington, archivist, National Archives and Records Administration; Modupe Labode, public scholar of African American History and Museums at the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis; Terry Prall, genealogist.

Topics will include the Southern Claims Commission, Freedmen's Bureau, city directories and online resources. The cost of the conference is $25 for IAAGG members and $35 for non-members - register online. For more information, contact indplsaagenegroup@yahoo.com
