Query: Andrews of Lake County

My great-great-uncle, David William Andrews, was born in Croydon, Surrey, England between October and December 1849. I found him on the 1851 and 1861 censuses in Croydon, Surrey, England with his parents James and Louisa (Barker) Andrews. I was told that David emigrated to America and was a clergyman. I believe I may have found him on the 1880 census in Ross, Lake County, Indiana. Is there anyone who is descended from him or has connections with this family?

Query: Wright of Hancock, Henry and Wayne counties

I am trying to find information on my 4th great-grandparents, Rev. Reuben & Anna (Gilbert) Wright who married in 1798 in Sussex County, Virginia. They went to Greene County, Ohio and then on to Henry County, Indiana in the early days of that county. Reuben was a farmer and a Methodist-Episcopal minister. At one time, he co-pastored an M.E. church in Knightstown, Henry County, Indiana. Reuben and Anna Wright are in the 1850 census in Wayne County, Indiana but I can't find where they are buried, when they died or anything else about them.

Reuben and Anna Wright had a daughter, Margaret Wright, who married a Thomas B. Miller in Hancock County, Indiana--my direct ancestor was their son, James Gilbert Wright, who married Lucinda McComas in Rush County, Indiana in 1830. James and Lucinda Wright moved to Jasper County, Illinois by about 1840 where James was also a M.E. minister. James Wright had a brother, David G. Wright, who married Sarah Neibarger and also lived in Hancock County, Indiana.

Any help would be appreciated. This Wright line was originally from Lunenburg and Brunswick County, Virginia.

Query: Sword/Kelly of Henry and Marion counties

I am trying to trace my great-aunt, Elizabeth Sword (known as Bess or Bessie) who was born in Lyon County, Kansas on 28 January 1885 and was married 26 September 1914 in New Castle, Henry County, Indiana to Arthur S. Kelly (born 11 February 1873). They were divorced before 1920 and in the 1920 census Bess Kelly was in Indianapolis in the 15th Ward, working as an attendant at the Central Indiana Hospital for the Insane.

One of Bess's sisters was Margaret (Sword) Van Nuys, wife of Dr. Walter C. Van Nuys, director of Indiana's Epileptic Village at Hillsboro, Henry County, Indiana. Their son (Bess's nephew) was Dr. John Ditmars Van Nuys, who was Dean of Indiana University's College of Medicine until his early death in 1964. Another of Bess's sisters was Beatrice (Sword) Rhodes of Tampa, Marion County, Kansas. Beatrice was my grandmother.

I'm told Bess Kelly lived an "unhappy" life. I do not think she ever remarried. There is a Bessie Kelly who was buried July 5, 1960 in Section 11, Lot 43 of Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis--are there records available that might prove if she is the right Bessie Kelly that I seek?

Query: Calvin of Posey County

My ancestor Mary "Polly" Calvin (born 1809) married a Lewis Cargill/Cargil. I suspect she is related to James Calvin and Job Calvin of Posey County, Indiana, who were part of the New Harmony Utopian Experiment. She migrated from Kentucky to Indiana and Illinois like many of that group and so I'm sure she must be connected to it somehow. Does anybody know of a resource listing the residents of that community, which existed from 1825-1829? I am wanting to find out who her parents and siblings were.
