The Indiana Genealogical Society will hold a work session at the Danville Public Library on Saturday, October 17 from 9 am to 5 pm for its Records Preservation Project. The project is organizing and digitizing 50+ boxes of Hendricks County probate records that date from 1824 to 1930.
This work session is for anyone who is interested in helping with the unfolding and organizing of the probate records, particularly those who cannot volunteer during the week. Volunteers can stay for as little or as long as they want, and bring a lunch or take a lunch break. Registration is requested--register online through the library's website or contact the library's Indiana Room--phone (317) 745-2604.
