IGS Adds Databases To Members-Only

The Indiana Genealogical Society has added several databases to the Members Only area of its website:

College Records
--Students of Earlham College, Richmond (1889)--a listing taken from their annual catalog.

--Students of Taylor University, Upland (1901-1904)--a listing taken from the school's 1901 yearbook, The Gem. This database includes photos of each class.

County Records
--Residents of Gary, Lake County, Indiana (1909)--a partial listing of the residents of the city, taken from a local newspaper.

--Voters of Columbus, Bartholomew County, Indiana (1847)--a listing of the voters on June 5, 1847, taken from a county directory.

Military Records
--Veterans Who Died At State Soldiers Home, Lafayette, Indiana (1905-1906)--a listing of the veterans (and the wives and widows of veterans) who were residents of the Indiana State Soldiers Home at the time of their deaths, taken from an annual report about the home. The Indiana State Soldiers Home was built in 1896 to care for veterans living in Indiana.

These are all premium databases, accessible only to IGS members. To date, the Indiana Genealogical Society has added over 150 databases to its website. More databases will be added over time.
