The Bartholomew County Genealogical Society will hold a Genealogy Day on Saturday, November 21 from 10 am to 3 pm in the Red Room of the Bartholomew County Public Library in Columbus. Dr. Giles Hoyt will speak on Indiana's German-American heritage, Jackson County Historian Charlotte Sellers will speak on "An Intrepid Researcher's Tips For Finding Stuff In Libraries, Archives and Courthouses," and Jane Johnson of the Bartholomew County Genealogical Society will speak on female ancestors. Donna Kuhlman will also offer individual consultations on genealogy questions.
The program is free and a buffet lunch will be offered for a $3 donation. The Bartholomew County Genealogical Society is a chapter of the Indiana Genealogical Society and encourages members of other IGS chapters to attend.
