Lake County Library Adds Online Resources
The Lowell Public Library in Lake County has added several indexes to the history section of their website. These indexes include a Lowell High School yearbook index (1915-present) as well as an index (1920-present) of births, birthdays, engagements, weddings, marriage licenses, death notices, obituaries, etc. in the Lowell Tribune. There is also a partial index to some of the older local papers (Lowell Star, Lowell Souvenir and Lowell Tribune). The library has a hard copy or microfilm copy of these newspapers, so if you find an entry in the index, you can get a copy of the article. The library has also installed a new digital Minolta microfilm reader/printer, so a patron can print an article, copy it to a flash drive, or e-mail it.
