Indiana The Focus of Genealogy TV Show
WFYI, the PBS station in Indianapolis, will air the premiere episode of "The Legend Seekers" on Thursday, March 26 at 9:30 pm. The show focuses on family legends submitted by the public about their ancestry, and this first episode (titled "The Legend of The Lively Massacre") will explore the family legend submitted by Illinois native Pam Frazer about her ancestors being among the first settlers of the Indiana Territory in 1813. The search to verify this legend uncovers the 200-year-old graves of Frazer's ancestors, and cemetery restorationist John Walters of The Graveyard Groomer is part of the episode.
