IGS Publishes September Issue of Indiana Genealogist

The Indiana Genealogical Society recently mailed the September 2009 issue of Indiana Genealogist to its members. It contains:
  • School lists for Cass County and Daviess County
  • Juror lists for Lake County and Marion County
  • Profiles of Indiana Civil War soldiers that were proven as ancestors by Society of Civil War Families of Indiana members
  • Biographies and photos of soldiers in the 99th Indiana Infantry
  • Former residents of Indiana who were buried in Carson City, Nevada
  • An article by Randi Richardson (Indiana County Genealogist for Monroe County) about Hattie Moss Dunihoo, a Monroe County resident who was placed in the Indiana Soldiers' and Sailors' Children's Home in Knightstown, Indiana.
  • An IN-GENious! column by Annette Harper on the use of newspaper sources to find the grandfather of Luther Martin of Jefferson County.
