New Databases: Adams, Jasper, Marshall, Morgan counties, and Boys Industrial School

Yearbooks. Women in World War I. Indiana Boys' School. Those are just some of the new things we've added to the IGS website! Let's take a look at these new databases.

County Records:

Adams County
- Students of Geneva High School, Adams County, Indiana (1913)
An index of 75 students in grades 9-12, as listed in the school’s 1913 yearbook, The Informer.

Jasper County
- Registration of Civilian Women in Remington, Jasper County, Indiana (1918)
An index of 140 women over the age of 16 who registered with the National Council of Defense in 1918 as part of its World War I effort. This index includes the women’s ages and the nationality of their parents. This database was contributed by Sue Caldwell.

Marshall County
- Students of Plymouth High School, Marshall County, Indiana (1923)
An index of 215 students in grades 9-12, as listed in the school’s 1923 yearbook, Mayflower. This database also includes digital images.

- Teachers of Plymouth High School, Marshall County, Indiana (1923)
An index of teachers in grades 9-12, as listed in the school’s 1923 yearbook, Mayflower. This database also includes digital images.

Morgan County
- Students of Martinsville High School, Morgan County, Indiana (1930)
An index of students in 12th grade, as listed in the school’s 1930 yearbook, The Artesian. This database also includes digital images.

- Teachers of Martinsville High School, Morgan County, Indiana (1930)
An index of teachers in grades 9-12, as listed in the school’s 1930 yearbook, The Artesian. This database also includes digital images.

Statewide Records:

- Alumni of Charlton High School, Indiana Boys' School, Plainfield, Indiana (1935-1939)
An index of 60 inmates at the Indiana Boys’ School who graduated from its high school, as listed in the school’s 1940 yearbook.  The Indiana Boys' School was a state correctional institution established in 1867 to reform male juvenile offenders through education and vocational training. The institution had its own high school, which was certified by Indiana’s Department of Education.

- Students of Charlton High School, Indiana Boys' School, Plainfield, Indiana (1940)
An index of 180 inmates at the Indiana Boys’ School who were attending its high school, as listed in the school’s 1940 yearbook. The Indiana Boys' School was a state correctional institution established in 1867 to reform male juvenile offenders through education and vocational training. The institution had its own high school, which was certified by Indiana’s Department of Education.
