Clinton County Genealogical Society To Hold Conference

The Clinton County Genealogical Society will celebrate their 22nd anniversary with a conference on Saturday, September 14 at the Frankfort Community Public Library (208 W. Clinton St., Frankfort, IN). The conference will be held from 9:45 am to 3 pm Eastern, with sessions offered on:

  • "Writing Your Memoirs" by Sandy Gaylor and Barbara Krause - learn tips and hints for putting your genealogical discoveries into writing for others to enjoy. Part of the session will include participants doing some of their own writing.
  • "Populating Hoosierland" by Ron Darrah - learn how and when your ancestors arrived in the state of Indiana, and see what footprints they left behind.
  • School Days: A Great Records Resource" by Ron Darrah - School attendance created several kinds of records; find out what they are, and where those records are now.

Conference registration is $5 if received before August 31, and includes lunch (pizza, chips, dessert and drink). After September 1, registration is $7 and may include lunch, if available. All registrations received before August 31 will be entered into a drawing for a free online course by National Institute for Genealogical Studies (an $89 value).
