QUERY: CAMPBELL/HORNADAY of Indianapolis

James Rich of Burlington, North Carolina (jrich150@triad.rr.com) is looking for descendants of a CAMPBELL family that moved from Alamance County, North Carolina to the east side of Indianapolis shortly after their 1903 marriage. If you have any information about this family, please contact him.

occupation: car inspector for railroad shop

died: 11 February 1969 in ?Indianapolis?

Lacey Campbell was married about 1927 to Mildred J. (born 23 March 1911; died 13 January 1999) and they had children: Ronald L. Campbell (born 3 February 1927; died 21 December 1990 in Brevard County, Florida) and Carol Campbell (born about 1928).

Lacey and Mildred divorced sometime after 1930; in the 1940 census, Mildred is remarried to Earl GILLESPIE and living at 2314 Wheeler Street in Indianapolis, raising the 2 Campbell children.

Lacey remarried on August 19, 1942 in Marion County to Josephine La Falletto. She is buried in Anderson Cemetery, under the name Josephine Campbell Roos (1905-1986).
