FOUND: Photo of Hazel Vera (Johnson) Lime of Clinton and Marion Counties

Ron Darrah (of the IndyGenealogy blog) found this photo at an antique store in Delphi, Carroll County, Indiana and is looking to give it to a descendant of the family. The photo was taken by an Indianapolis photographer and is labeled on the back "Ol & Bertha Johnson & daughter Hazel." From research, we believe this to be George Oliver Johnson and wife Bertha Dosch, along with daughter Hazel Vera Johnson.

George Oliver Johnson (born May 1851 in Indiana, died after 1920, occupation: housepainter) married Bertha A. Dosch (born April 1870 in Indiana, died after 1920) on 21 February 1888 in Clinton County, Indiana. On the 1900 Clinton County census, George and Bertha have daughters Hazel Vera (born March 1890) and Ruby F. (born April 1900), and George's mother-in-law Sarah E. Dosch (born February 1840 in Indiana) is living with them. On the 1920 Indianapolis census, George and Bertha Johnson are living in the household of son-in-law Joseph Lime.

Hazel Vera M. Johnson (born 11 March 1890 in Clinton County, died 1920-1930) married Joseph Leo Lime (born 8 May 1891 in Perry County, Indiana, son of William W. Lime and Ursula Stephens) on 20 June 1912 in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. According to his World War I draft registration card, Joseph Lime was employed by Ford Motor Co. in Indianapolis. The 1920 Indianapolis census (residing at 1428 Sturm Avenue) lists his occupation as machinist for an auto factory. By the 1930 Indianapolis census, Joseph was listed as widowed, and working as a painter for an automobile factory. His 1942 draft registration card lists him as residing at 1408 Pierce Street in Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana, and employed by Big Four Railroad of Cinncinnati, Ohio.

Joseph and Hazel (Johnson) Lime had children:
--Kenneth Lime (born about 1914)
--Mary Ellen Lime (born about 1917) - married unknown McGinnis
--Mildred M. Lime (born about 1918; died December 2008) - married Donald J. Smith

According to an obituary from the Franklin, Indiana Daily Journal, Mildred M. (Lime) Smith and Donald J. Smith had children:
--Phyllis A. Smith - married unknown Cross
--Doris Smith - married unknown Waters
--Dorothy "Dottie" Smith - married unknown Morris
--Debra Smith - married unknown Schore
--David Smith
