Editor Needed For Indiana Genealogist

The Indiana Genealogical Society is accepting applications for editor of the society's quarterly publication, Indiana Genealogist. The editor is responsible for the 50-page quarterly, which is published 4 times a year, as well as a separate index, which is published annually.

Responsibilities include:
--receipt of submissions
--choice of which submissions to be included in each issue
--copyediting
--page layout
--creation of PDF files of each issue
--creation of the annual index
--transmission of files to the printer as well as the webmaster

Experience using page layout software (Microsoft Publisher, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Page Maker or something similar) and familiarity with generating and editing PDFs is required. It is a paid position--the editor is paid $500 per issue and $500 for the annual index.
