State Library To Discuss Hoosiers in World War I
The Indiana State Library in Indianapolis will present a program, "Mobilizing the Home Front: Hoosiers and World War I," in their Indiana Authors Room on Monday, July 20 from 11 am to noon. Marcia Caudell, Reference & Government Services Librarian, will discuss how early in 1917, as relations between the United States and Germany became strained, Hoosiers volunteered their time and money to assist in the war effort. This program is free and open to the public.
