Beginning Genealogy Workshop in Indianapolis

The Indiana Historical Society will hold a Beginning Genealogy Research Workshop on Friday, January 23, 2009 from 9 am to 4 pm at their Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center in Indianapolis. This workshop will be repeated on Saturday, January 24, 2009 from 9 am to 4 pm. Betty L. Warren, immediate past president of the Indiana Genealogical Society and current staff member of the Indiana State Library, will give you an overview of what you'll need to know to begin researching your family, as well as how to organize your information. Tours of the Indiana State Library's genealogy collection, as well as the Indiana Historical Society's William Henry Smith Memorial Library, will be given.

Registration is $25 for IHS members, $35 for non-members ($15 for students) and there is a box lunch available for an additional $10. Registration must be made by January 9, 2009--to register, phone (317) 234-1830.
