Marriage Indexing: fs versus ss

This was received from an arbitrator.

Some indexers apparently are not familiar with the old handwriting style for a DOUBLE “s” which as you know looks like a squeezed together modern lower-case “fs” – for example, surnames such as “Moss” and “Russell” are being indexed as “Mofs” and “Rufsell.”
