Indiana Historical Society To Offer Civil War Research Workshops

The Indiana Historical Society in Indianapolis will offer 2 workshops on Saturday, September 15 about researching Civil War ancestors . Both workshops will be led by writer, editor, researcher and lecturer Amy Johnson Crow, MLIS, CG:

--"Answering The Call: Researching Civil War Soldiers Before and During The War" will be held from 10 am to noon. This workshop focuses on discovering sources that will help you identify your Civil War ancestors and learning about resources that will help you recreate their lives during the war years.

--"Discharged: Researching Civil War Veterans After The War" will be held from 1 to 3 pm. This workshop focuses on learning how to find and use records from the post-Civil War era to discover more about your Civil War ancestors and their families.

Each workshop costs $10 ($8 for members) - those who attend both workshops get a reduced rate ($15). Indiana librarians can receive 2 LEUs for attending each workshop.
