Red Cross To Digitize Its World War I Records
BBC News recently aired a story about the International Red Cross Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and the estimated 20 million records they have on soldiers from 30 countries who served in World War I. The Red Cross will begin work later this year on preserving these records and hopes to have them digitized and online by 2014, the 100-year anniversary of the beginning of the war.
