Ron Darrah will present a program, "The Do-Over War: Genealogy and the War of 1812," on Saturday, August 25 at the Danville Public Library in Hendricks County. The program will begin at 10 am in the library’s program room. The War of 1812 Bicentennial has created new interest in this era. Darrah will review the origins and events of the war and explore the record types, sources, and repositories, especially the online sites. These records range from 1810-1850. Darrah is a retired school administrator and has been a genealogical researcher for over 25 years.
This is a free program, but space is limited and registration is required. Register under the Events link of the library’s website or call (317) 745-2604.
