Genealogy for Night Owls is a unique and free event is happening at the Indiana State Library in Indianapolis on Wednesday, August 15 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. This event will include opportunities to build your own family tree, library orientation and collection tours, Ask-An-Expert opportunities, door prizes, and more!
In addition to expert advice on conducting genealogy research, the State Library’s Conservator will be on hand to offer tips for preserving family heirlooms such as letters, photos, scrapbooks, and family Bibles. You are welcome to bring items for feedback on proper preservation, though State Library and State Archives staff CANNOT provide appraisals.
For those registered for the program, parking will be available in the New York Street Garage (across the street from the library) for $5 for the entire event. Registration is required by August 8. Call (317) 232-3689 or e-mail charlesh@library.IN.gov to reserve your spot today.
