The Indiana Genealogical
Society will have a Publicity Booth at the State Library Genealogy Fair in
Indianapolis on Saturday, October 22.
We
are requesting that any members with an hour or two to spare to please stop at
the booth and assist in the staffing rotation. Tell the attendees about IGS and
all the exciting programs we offer.
Note
from the State Library:
“Please feel free to bring along photographs to
be scanned during the Fair by the
Indiana Album, a non-profit organization that copies, catalogs, and shares
history photographs of Indiana from all eras. The project, endorsed by the
Indiana Bicentennial Commission, seeks images of buildings, businesses,
churches, clubs, schools, and interesting people. See their web page (www.indianaalbum.com)
to learn more, discover how to submit your own scans, or to view over 5,000
images scanned so far.”
