South Bend Library Hosts Program on Ancestral Homelands

The St. Joseph County Public Library in South Bend, Indiana will host a program, "Where Our Grandparents Walked: Finding Our Ancestral Homelands," on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 9 am. Local residents Carol Collins and Sara Allen will relate how they located their ancestral villages in Ireland and Slovenia, planned successful visits, and found long-lost relatives. They will also give genealogical tips and strategies for identifying your family's origins in Eastern Europe and Ireland. The program is co-sponsored by the South Bend Area Genealogical Society.
