Placing Genealogy in Historical Context
The Indiana African-American Genealogy Group (P.O. Box 1811, Indianapolis IN 46206-1811) will meet on Saturday, May 19 from 1 to 3 pm at the Indiana State Library (http://www.statelib.lib.in.us). Brenda Pitts will present a program on "Placing Genealogy in Historical Context," which will discuss the John Copeland family of North Carolina & Ohio and their role in the Civil War.
