The Indiana African American Genealogy Group will hold a Genealogy and History Conference on Saturday, October 18 at the Eiteljorg Museum in Indianapolis (500 W. Washington St.). Melvin J. Collier will be the featured speaker, focusing on methodologies to trace African-American ancestors before the 1870 census, when many were living in slavery in the South.
Registration is $25 for IAAGG members, $35 for non-members. Registration is available online through their website.
