Descendants of those who served in the 25th Indiana Infantry in the Civil War are being sought by the South Carolina State Park Service. They are planning events in February 2015 to mark the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Rivers Bridge in South Carolina and would like to share the stories of the soldiers who participated in the battle. The 25th Indiana Infantry was organized in Evansville in 1861. It roster included residents of Posey County, Spencer County, Vanderburgh County and Warrick County.
