Does anyone know if my
Great-Grandfather, Richard William ASHWORTH, served in the military during the
Civil War.
He moved to Aurora, Dearborn, Indiana in 1860 where he lived until his death in 1889.
Born in 1830 in England, he came to Massachusetts in the summer of 1856 and married Mary Griffin in January 1857. They had one surviving son William – three died in early childhood.
