The Southern Indiana Genealogical Society will meet on Thursday, April 14 at 7 pm in the Strassweg Auditorium of the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library. Jeannie Regan-Dinius, Director of Special Initiatives for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources's Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology, will speak on "Cemetery Restoration". Ms. Regan-Dinius will address cemetery laws, rules and regulations, cemetery preservation, and marking, recording and platting pioneer cemeteries. Her presentation is sponsored by Southern Indiana Genealogical Society and the Floyd County Cemetery Restoration Team.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
