The Bartholomew County Genealogical Society will hold their annual "Genealogy Day" on Saturday, October 23 from 9:45 am to 3 pm in the Red Room of the Bartholomew County Public Library in Columbus. Genealogy specialist Mary Ellen Grossman will discuss "Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Courthouse Records And How To Find Them," Julie Hughes of the Bartholomew County Historical Society will discuss "Capturing The Past: Tips For Using Old Photographs" and military records expert Ron Darrah will provide answers to the question, "Once a genealogist checks the federal military and pension files, where does he or she go after that?" Questions are encouraged - bring your family problems waiting to be solved.
