The Indiana Genealogical Society thanks all the volunteers who came to the Danville library yesterday for our Saturday work session on the Hendricks County probate records. It was particularly impressive to see so many people willing to be inside when it was such beautiful weather outside.
The volunteers completed 175 files, and thanks to their continuing efforts, IGS has now unfolded and organized about 25% of the records from the pre-1900 period. Digitizing of these records is underway, but more volunteers are needed to help IGS with the editing of the digital files. If you would like to help out with the editing, please contact Shirley Richison Fields, richison@me.com
