Research Lock-In in Ripley County

The Tri-County Genealogical Society, which represents Decatur, Franklin and Ripley counties, is sponsoring a Research Lock-In on Friday, May 15 from 5 to 11 pm at the Batesville Memorial Public Library in Ripley County. Researchers must be in the library before it closes at 5 pm. Society members will be on hand to assist researchers in locating materials. The Batesville library has genealogy resources covering Franklin, Decatur, Ripley, and Dearborn counties. If you would like to reserve time on the library's computers, please call ahead. There will also be a genealogy research seminar from 1 to 5 pm, with topics including "How to Begin", "Looking at the Census" and "Staying Organized."
