Query: Indiana Irish Civil War Soldiers

Hello,

I’m writing from Mind the Gap Films, an independent production company based in Ireland. I’m doing research for a documentary series about the experiences of Irish servicemen and women (either those born in Ireland or those who identified as Irish-American) in the American Civil War and I’m trying to find descendants who have a personal connection to the story of their ancestors – maybe they have photographs/letters/personal articles, or strong stories that have been passed down through the family.   We’re hoping to film part of the series in the States and if there are people with personal stories who could help to illustrate Irish experiences I’d love to get in touch with them. I was wondering if you might be willing to pass my details on to your members?

I would be very grateful for any assistance. Best wishes

Query: Elkhart County Oldest Society?

Good afternoon,

The Elkhart County Genealogical Society is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. It was formed in 1967 and believes that it was the first genealogical society in the state.

Can you confirm that for me?  Is there a list of all the societies in the state and when they were formed? Thanks much,

Query: Judith Hauser et al, Perry County

Hello,
I am helping to update a book that was done 26 years ago with the history of some of my family who started in Belgium
, settled in Leopold, and has decendents scattered all over the USA now. I need a birth date or a date of death if you have it for a few relatives.

Judith Carolyn Hauser was born in Tell City, Perry County, in March, but I don't have the exact date or year. Her father was Robert William Hauser. Mother was Anna Cecelia (Lasher)Hauser. Siblings were Roberta Ann, Dorothy Louise, Mary Earletta, Regina Agnes, and Rebecca Sue. I also need death dates for Roberta who was married to Marvin Andrew Powell, and Mary who was married to John Paul Voges.
I could also use some information on the marriages and divorces of Kevin Ray Dutschke. His parents are Kenneth Martin Dutschke and Dorothy Louise (Hauser) Dutschke Miller Sanders. (Kevin was born in Coquille Oregon June 27, 1964. He married Sandra (?) and later Terri (?). I do not have the women's maiden names or their birth or Sandra's death information, but would like to add it also. (I know Terri's birth date is March 17, but don't know the year, or place where her parents lived at the time, or her proper name or anything).
Thank you for any help you can give me.

Query: Henry Pearson/Abigail Bradway, Union County

I see on your website that you don't do research. But maybe you can tell me where to turn. I am looking for some information for a Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) application for ancestors in Indiana, but their dates are before vital records were collected.

My great great grandparents were Henry Steddom Pearson (or Pierson) and Abigail Bradway Pearson. They were married before they came to Indiana, but both died there - he in Union county and I assume she died there also. He died March 6, 1881 and she died July 7, 1872. I believe they were Quakers. I was looking for a death record, obituary, wills.

Also, my great grandmother was born there to these parents. Her name was Frances Rosella Pearson, and she was born in Liberty, Union, Indiana, December 5, 1871.

Thanks for any help you can give me.
