Query: Thomas Aubrey, Hendricks/Putnam Counties

I am currently trying to apply to the Sons of the American Revolution, but I am unable to find the birth data on my grandfather Thomas Aubrey, supposedly born 1 Mar 1876 in Coatesville,(Hendricks County), IN.
I also need to find out who his Father and Mother were and where they were born. This information should be on his birth certificate.[Ed. Note: Birth certificates began in 1882 in Indiana.]
I know he married Minnie Stewart 31 Aug 1899, but in Putnam County, IN.

Query: Fred Graham, Warrick County

I am writing to see if you may be able to help me find information on my grandfather, Fred Graham. I recently found out that he was born in Boonville, (Warrick County) Indiana, in 1887. In 1910 he was living in Lindsay, CA, and he married my grandmother, Mayme Clara Anderson, in 1914 in Oakland, CA. That is about all I know about him.
I am sorry to say that I do not know his parent’s names, but I do know that they were both from Indiana. My brother and I are trying to trace Fred's roots, and we thought that a researcher in Indiana might have a better chance of finding information on him for us.
          Many thanks for your time.

Query: Agnes Rovenstine, Montgomery/LaPorte Counties

I am trying to find an obituary and burial information of a Agnes K. Lane Rovenstine.  Her father, Timothy Lane and mother Mary H. O'Herron Lane, are buried in Calvary Cemetery in Crawfordsville.  I have not been successful in finding her burial in that cemetery (perhaps it is not there.)
Her mother died in La Porte in 1946, and Agnes continued to live here at least until about 1950. Her birth date was ca 1896. She married Emery Rovenstine in 1917, and they were divorced ca 1935.  Any help in finding information about Agnes would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • Monday, September 22 - 8 pm Eastern - Thomas W. Jones, Ph.D., CG, CGL, will discuss “Fine Wine in a New Bottle: Guidelines for Effective Research and Family Histories.” Updated, retitled, and reorganized, the genealogy standards first published in 2000 are now available in a new edition (see http://www.bcgcertification.org/resources/standard.html for more). ThIS webinar will describe the changes and what they mean for all family historians. • Wednesday, October 15 - 8 pm Eastern - Judy G. Russell, J.D., CG, CGL, will explain “Kinship Determination: From Generation to Generation.” Requirement 7 of the BCG certification application asks for a Kinship Determination Project in which the applicant writes a three-generation narrative and explains how the relationships are documented. All genealogists do this regularly while placing relatives with their appropriate connections in the family tree. A familiar speaker at conferences across the country, Russell will coordinate the Advanced Methodology & Evidence Analysis course at the Institute for Genealogy and Historical Research in 2015.
